Valentine's Day

I disagree with those who say Valentine's Day is a made up holiday. I think it's nice to have one day a year to celebrate love. Yes, my husband and I try to express our love daily, but I think it's nice to do something extra sweet on Valentine's Day.

For Valentine's Day, Jeff and I went out and did some errands. First we dropped Laura off at school, then Jeff bought me breakfast before we went baby shopping at Walmart. We also got Laura a Valentine gift.

At Walmart, we got some little things like ointment, bibs, body wash and some other things we needed. When we came home, we exchanged gifts. Jeff gave me a necklace with the wheelchair symbol shaped as a heart. I gave him an Eagles jacket.

Grace (my attendant) came early and we went to Laura's school. I enjoy volunteering in her class whenever I can. They had a Valentine party and the kids were adorable. They ate and went around putting Valentine's in one another's bags. Laura was happy to see me.

I also like going so her friends grow accustom to me. They are pretty used to me, and come up and ask me questions or just act normal.

When we came home, Jeff cooked dinner. My Dad came over because Laura wanted to have a Valentine party. So my dad came and gave Laura balloon and dream light puppy. My dad gave me flowers. For dessert, we had strawberry shortcake.
